Call for a: Head of the Laboratory of Structural Biology and Bioinformatics
Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (Prague, Czech Republic) declares in
accordance with Act No. 283/1992 Coll., on the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, as
amended by Act No. 420/2005 Coll., and the Statutes of the CAS a call for a:
in the area of Structural Biology and Bioinformatics, compatible with the present research conducted
at the institutional detached place at NOVÉ HRADY (South Bohemian region; see

studies in the specific or associated direction. An appropriate salary, lab space, and operating costs,
allowing the prospective Head of the Laboratory to run his/her lab, modify and/or start building a

Selection criteria:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of academic merit, i.e., the quality of their research proposal,
publication record, and postdoctoral training. A vital asset will be intellectual independence, as
documented, e.g., by independent publications (corresponding author), or previous (grant) awards.
Securing additional funding is not required to apply but it will be a significant condition for extending

Stage 2: Short-listed candidates will be invited to submit full proposals (max. 6 pages) and deliver a
